Fusion Housing provides housing advice, housing related support services, learning & employment opportunities to people in Kirklees, along with managed tenancy services in Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield.
We have vacancy for a HOUSING ADVISER who can deliver specialist level housing casework and be able to contribute to our Legal Aid Agency contracts and Housing Possession Court Duty Schemes.
This is a full time (37 hours per week) fixed term position with funding to 31 March 2020; there is the possibility that the role may be extended or made permanent. The role is based in Dewsbury and will involve working across Dewsbury, Huddersfield & Wakefield offices.
The salary is Band 3B (NJC points 26 – 28) £23,866 to £25,463 per annum
Applicants must have knowledge/experience of:
- Carrying out complex legal advice work in housing
- Housing possession, homelessness, disrepair and landlord and tenant matters
- Providing specialist casework, advice, advocacy and representation in all housing matters
- Being customer focused and have a collaborative approach to working, and excellent communication skills
