From 10 June, the way you register to vote changed to a new system called Individual Electoral Registration. This also allows applications to be made online at the following link: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
Most people already on the electoral register will be automatically registered under the new system, but some people will need to provide further information. Anyone moving into the area, from 10 June needs to apply using the new system.
If you are not registered you may find it difficult to get credit, a mobile phone contract, loan or mortgage.

In the coming months Fusion Housing will start managing their own tenancies across Kirklees. This will be starting in the Huddersfield area with self contained properties for single people between 16-35 years of age. All residents will receive intensive housing management to help them manage their tenancy and help will be referred to other support services if needed.
Further information and how to apply for these properties will me shown on our website when the properties are available.
